The collection of prints you are about to see is the sixth of an ongoing series being put together by members of the internet printmakers' group known as [Baren]. When the first of these collections was being organized, back in 1998, it took some time to gather together enough members to produce a folio. Not so for recent exchanges - the list of participants now fills up within minutes of the opening time! Something has obviously caught the imagination of the group members - perhaps the chance to have their work exhibited internationally (these folios are being shown in cities around the world) - perhaps the chance to have their work kept in a museum collection (a copy of each of these folios in stored in a large US print collection) - or perhaps (perhaps?) it is simply the attraction of the challenge to produce a print that will stand side-by-side with the excellent work that these [Baren] Exchange folios have come to be known for.

We selected a slightly 'off-beat' paper dimension for the prints in this folio (1x by 2x), hoping to inspire interesting new ideas, and it seems to have worked very well indeed. I think you will particularly enjoy our work this time ...

Thank you for spending time with [Baren], and we hope that one day you too may consider taking up the cry:

Cut! Print!
