This is Jim on a summer night after being awakened by a bat flying
under the canopy of our bed. He is trying to herd the bat out the
window but is holding his head down at the same time for fear the bat
will get caught in his hair. The woodcut makes him look less funny
than I had hoped. There's a certain dignity here I had not
anticipated.
