Boxwood
Matsumura-san has been 'collecting' boxwood for many years now, and has amassed quite a nice stock. He has a climate-controlled room up in the loft over his lumber business, and the logs rest there, slowly drying out over a period of many years. Once a log has thoroughly dried to an acceptable level, he slices it up and prepares the surface for engraving. The pieces are dressed absolutely mirror smooth.

The wood is made up into jointed blocks, and he has them available in three different woods: boxwood, cherry, and birch.
These blocks are priced in accordance with the overall size. First calculate the perimeter of the block you want (all these blocks are cut in a rectangular shape). If the perimeter is less than 750mm, then the price for that block will be 33¢ per square centimetre. If the perimeter is between 750 and 1050mm, the price will be 45¢ per square centimeter. (For blocks with a perimeter size of more than 1050mm, please contact the Mall Manager.)
We can't show options here for every possible size, so simply select the option closest to your desired size/price, then when you are going through the checkout, use the comment form to specify the exact dimensions of the block you would like to be prepared for you.
Both faces are dressed to a mirror finish, and the thickness ranges from 25 to 33mm.
