Exchange Galleries Page, for everyone's reference:
http://www.barenforum.org/exchange/exchanges.html

Exchange #40 will be mailed back to participants very shortly.
Thank you Robert for a job well done!

Exchange #41 is now officially launched for takeoff. Deadline to deliver
finished prints is August 1st.
I am eagerly awaiting response from a couple of coordinator candidates; if
neither responds or just doesn't feel up to the task, I will coordinate this
exchange myself.

Everyone on the sign up list should begin preparing prints including those
on the waiting list.

Remember that an average of 4-5 people are likely to drop out so if you get
the
first few spots on the waiting list you will be in the
exchange.

Finally, don't forget to order your handsome folio cases from the Baren Mall
to keep all your exchange prints safe and beautiful

I have been most interested in following the experience of those who sell on the internet,
and I too am sorting myself out to have a go. I wondered if Dave and others had looked at
Paul Binnie's work, who sells mostly on www.artelino.com and also on www.japanesegallery.co.uk .
The standard of print is set higher than I currently obtain, but it may be a way of selling for
those who have the skills. Are there other sites apart from Printsy and Etsy than others have
found useful?

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions regarding printing with used materials
(sorry for the belated email -- I've been away for a few days on an unexpected trip).
I'll probably have to try them all when switching to larger sheets of paper and/or when
starting to edition these prints.

Thanks,
Tibi

Here's my lovely block of cherry. It's the end cut of a large plank of kiln dried
American cherry that at $5.00 board foot was a decent bargain. I cut off the end piece which had a few knots and defects and cut that piece again longitudinally giving me two 9" X 12" boards. These were carefully sanded smooth to an almost glasslike polish. (I'm still saving the good portion of the board for the future when I start making real art).
